I have not been down to the Mansfield cut since they dredged, does anyone have any photos or insight to fishing the surf by the jetty? Beyond the basic surf fishing techniques and fishing obsession.
Thanks,
Hoggeman

Buddahead, thanks for the pick post and UncleD, I think for taking it.

Makes me want a 4x4 really bad.

PS: anybody thats headed that way during the week and has room to spare, I'd gladly be willing to split the costs.

No doubt, looks awesome. Lets go. I'm ready to take the boat down there, either run outside (65miles would be a nice cruise) or down the ditch. Spend some time around the mansfield jetties and maybe kayak the flats there. I hear the beaches are great there too for the family. Run out to fish offshore at the new reef they built 5 miles or so off port isabel and maybe out to the closer shelf for the big stuff Smile

If you bring the panga down we could camp/crash on the boats (hey, thats why I got an express boat!), spend a day fishing inshore, a day offshore.... Heck, maybe a little "bait soaking" down at the SPI watering holes and admiring the beach fashions Smile
