Hi Tyler - It's been awhile........
I thought I'd share a photo with you from the Great Northwest.
I caught this 117 lb. halibut on Friday (6-5-09) while out fishing near Montague Strait off the Gulf of Alaska, with Johnny French and C.H. Givens from Corpus.....
We've been having some fantastic weather here, e.g. 70's.....Hope all is well there!
Lynnda
I just got this one from Art Via Skipper. Art is a friend of Lynnda's and here are Trash Heap and CH

Told Lynnda as we were heading out she would catch the biggest fish. Unfortunately, she got hit with mal de mer afterward and retired.
As we were headed out of Resurrection Bay, the captain asked what sort of halibut we were after, meaning did we want to go into deep, rough water for monsters, so I told him I didn't speak for other than C.H. and myself, but we were scheduled for two more days of halibut fishing in Cook Inlet the following week and would be happy with 20 lbs of fillets apiece. Since this trip from Seward was in search of rockfish as well as halibut, the captain decided to stay close to shore at first where he said we'd have a chance to catch both, although the 'buts would likely be small. Turned out we got only a couple of rockfish at that spot in 100 feet of water not far west of Montague Island, but we also landed 4 'buts there including Lynnda's that averaged 100 lbs! When the fish turned off and we went deeper to try to fill our limits, it got rougher and we lost our best fisher, so we turned around and, stopping briefly almost onshore to sling some black rockfish into the box, spent over 3 hours pounding in our 27-foot vessel back to the dock.
Saw humpback whales breaching during the return, and sea lions loafing on a huge rock that had fallen from a cliff face not far from where we caught most of the rockfish. One of the latter was, according to the captain, a black rockfish with partial albinism, making its fins and spots on its head and body appear orange instead of black.
Got some other photos which I may talk Tyler into posting, including one of a fish and another of a bird for y'all to identify.
Did you notice the Breakaway T-shirt? We couldn't get Lynnda to wear her bikini again, though. _________________ The Trash Heap Has Spoken!
