Missing wading around in 70+ degree water, in 90+ degree weather, but still keeping busy up in NY, fishing on my boat with my pops out of Fire Island Inlet, Long Island. Just thought I'd share some east coast action.

Striped Bass and Bluefish

Dang, that's a heckuva mess o fish! I've been in those waters; my wife comes from Southampton and her brother in law used to head out frequently.

Those are some nice stripers.

One thing for sure, the peeps up that way are not as friendly. . . they take life a bit too seriously. I guess if you have to commute on the Long Island Expressway, even the most easy going Texans would become crotchety.

thats for sure, life is a little to fast paced up here. NYers can be a little edgy to say the least if your not expecting it. But once you get us out on the water, we are just your typical chill fishermen. Fishermen are fishermen, no matter where you are. Nice to hear your wifes from the island. The hamptons are gorgeous!

Yeah, the hamptons sure is gorgeous. Beautiful place; we had a free place to stay in Southampton with her parents there. Since they moved away. . . we don't go any more and I miss our yearly trips among the rich and famous.

Summers rock on the island.

Have fun!
