Last weekend we couldn’t buy a fish. With all the high tides and holiday boat traffic it was all lock-Jaw. This weekend so far, they’re jumping in the boat. Here’s a few pics from yesterday evening and the little shrimp gurgler fly they’re craving.

Netboy,
Its Craft foam that comes in an 8'' X 11" sheet. You can buy it at any Wal-Mart store in the craft section . Do a google search on the Gurgler fly for tying instructions.
Good luck,

Thanks Charlie!
I have had good success with a small crab iimitation that I tied in a similar fashion to your shrimp. I just used a piece of sponge for the body, but that stuff looks easier to work with. I'll give it a try. |

Neyboy,
This foam ties real well and the string won't cut into the foam like other stuff.
Also, the eye's are made of 20lb mono with burned ends. Any type of chenery or even yarn will work for the legs.
