Small but tough. These will attack even the larger flies.....pretty little things too.

| Those are pretty fish and pics! They can be tackle busters if you gear down to their size. |

They have Napolian syndrome....they will hit just about anything. Small poppers, ants, wooly buggers, and streamers. They just need to be able to fit it into their mouth.

That's a very colorful fish. Cool!
I have to get some practice in using my Orvis and St. Croix. The Island is so windy most of the time, difficult for beginners and even the best of the oldies. _________________ Live to Fish... Fish to Live

Great photos.
Actually, that's a longear sunfish rather than a redbreast.
Yes, it's confusing because redbreasts actually have longer ears than longears.
And longears often times have bright orange/red throats.
Go figure.
Here's a redbreast. Note the long ear. Confused yet?

| Good pics. In another week or so I'll be flyfishing the lakes of north central NM for for crappie, as well as , trout and salmon. Can't wait. Am also going to try the box canyon around Taos for rainbows and brookies. |
