We have a yellow lab that is about 10 years old that with a new baby on the way and the flea problem in our back yard we can't take care of the way she needs to be. She is a great dog. No health problems. She is great with kids we have never had to worry about her even growling at our 2 young boys. She would do better being in doors but she has lived outside too. I hope that someone can take her and take really good care of her. I got her the summer before I joined the Marine Corps and she has been a blessing to our family we just don't feel like we are able to take care of her the way she needs to be. Send me a pm if interested. Thanks, Allen

Start using revolution on your dog. Get it at the vets. No more flea problems and you don't have to get rid of a member of the family. 10 years is a lifetime for a dog.

If you want to get rid of the flea problem, throw banana peels on lawn after youve eaten the good part! Keep doing this till you have thrown one bananas worth about every 10 to 20 square feet! Throw alot more for better results!

Sounds crazy but I was throwing them in my back yard (when nobody was looking) and they were gone in a couple weeks! I couldnt even step out there for two seconds without my legs being covered in the things before!

Thanks again to my mom for that lesson!

If you have a real big yard it might not be practical to do this but you can if you have the time and appetite!

My in laws have a lab that is 16 years old... Give the dog advantage once a month, we did that and the fleas were gone within 3 days. My neighbors 3 dogs brought the fleas in, and they overwhelmed us, got that corrected quick fast and in a hurry..

we have been using advantage for a month and a half now along with having terminex treat our yard and there has seemed to be little or no effect. at least finally got them out of the house. daisy and the other dog we used have would stay inside before. it was hell for a while there. with them so thick in the back yard now my boys can't play on thier fort. i'm gonna try the banana peels soon

Man labs are the best dogs ever. If you're still having problems with the fleas you might try this stuff out. It's all natural. They're based out of Spring so shipping wouldn't be bad. My dad uses the cedar granules in his backyard and its worked good so far. It's a big plus to have something all natural so you don't have to worry about chemicals drying and such. Anyways, it's good stuff, check it out. http://www.cedarcidestore.com/GROUNDSPESTCONTROL.html

this works in the house....a bowl of water with a small light over it. The fleas are attracted to light. They jump for the light and end up in the water. It works I know first hand, I ve done it. I just put a pan of water right against the wall underneath a night light in the wall socket. When we started using the "Revolution" which we get through the vet it stopped all problems..ticks and fleas. One small tube every month, squeezed out on to their necks in one spot, thats it. It kills and sterilizes all the vermin.

Be careful with that Revolution stuff. My wife Tiff worked as the office manager for Disckinson Animal Clinic when we live in League City, and they saw a lot of dogs getting Heartowrms that were being treated with Revolution. Even though they paid up part of t he treatment, alot of dogs don't make it through that. Tiff lost her two Silver Tail Black Chows by using Revolution.

The best combo to use to prevent fleas and heartowrms is using Advantage for the fleas, ticks, and mosquitos and Heartguard Plus for the heartowrms and toher internal parasites. Our American Eskimo has had no problems at all. In fact, the Advantge is the only one that repels all bugs. You never even see a stray mosquito on her.

use the revolution with heartworm addition. no problems, noo heartworms. some dogs have already have heartworms before any treatment is started. which is usually the case. according to a vet. not me. My chows remain heartworm free and I live right by the water and we do have sketters. Very Happy
