Hey guys, I'm normally a die hard backpart of Baffin fisherman, but I'm throwing in the towel there untill it rains some.

Where is the best kayak launch near Packery or in the Causeway area these days, been a few years since I chased any fish over that way..is packery park open these days?

packery channel park would be your best bet in my opinion.. or you could launch on the backside of mustang island and fish that area around dead mans..

I hear you. I haven't got a single bite the last two times I've been out there.

Thanks for the tips and launch spots. I talked to a friend who struck out again last weekend in the laguna salada. May be a salinity issue? Had a good time in Corpus on Sun, but its not the same with 50 boats going by an hour and lots of company on the water! I enjoy the solititude and company of deer, nilgai, and wind turbines Very Happy.

Spent four hours in my kayak yesterday afternoon around Site 55 and across from Williamson's and racked up my third skunk in a row. Something needs to change because I'm usually catching back there this time of year.
