Since the NWS started its experimental new marine "forecast" format on its website a few weeks ago, we've been unable to get the usual forecasts for the nearshore and out to 20 nm between Port A and Baffin Bay. However, the water was clear in Big Shell during Cap'n Billy's Cleanup yesterday, the current wave height at Station 42020 is 2.3 feet, and winds are expected to be light tonight and tomorrow. PINS report this morning was 3 rows at 1 foot, slightly murky water conditions, driving poor past MP 15, and that reds, sharks and pomps had been caught. Best guess is that pomp fishing conditions should continue through tomorrow. Nick said he was heading down today, so I expect a fresh report from him this evening. C.H., family, friends and I will try our luck tomorrow, so expect another.
