Went to the beach today...no evidence of red tide, water was clear, lots of clear jellyfish washing in. I saw no bait or bird activity, but wasn't fishing.
The dead fish are almost all gone.
Where did the forest come from? There are huge tree trunks [some are 20+ feet long] and branches all over and still washing in. Many appeared to be oak or pine trees, judging by the bark left on them. Some appeared burned as if from a forest fire. Any idea where all this came from? |

| there were a ton of trees coming down the san antonio river at us 77 and 239. if they washed out with the current ripping south that could be where they came from. |

| I would agree wit hthe above post. We had some really heavy rains up here a couple weeks ago, and I am sure it washed all kinds of stuff down the river, including lots of big cypress trees that had died off in the drought. |

Unlikely the trees came from the jam in the San Antonio River. That feeds into the Guadalupe, then Haynes Bay, then San Antonio Bay. Long way for them to go to get to the Corpus area beaches. More likely from the Brazos. _________________ If at first you don't succeed, neither have I. |
