Hey guys, planning another trip this weekend.....I just looked at the weather report 5 mins ago and it said that Friday is gonna get hammered with rain....however Saturday looks like a pretty day. I know the front is supposed to move in and I've been reading that fishing is not at it's greatest during that time....or something like that....Let me know of any suggestions..... I can't stick around on Sunday because I have a commitment called "Academy Hunting/Fishing Sales Associate" from 2-9 pm.

Let me know!!!!!

Thanks

David

Where are you wanting to go? If I were in your boots, I'd head out to Yarborough Pass and try for some black drum. Cold fronts/rain never seems to bother drum, plus the rain will likely help you drive back behind the dunes.

I'm headed down Friday afternoon, the plan is to anchor out towards the end of the PA jetties and try for reds or drum traveling down the channel.
If that does not work Saturday I'll try Packery on Sunday.

Pork, easy on the new guys....

IWAA, if your limited to shore, the normal patterns will be NPJ or SPJ, the surf and beachfront piers for reds in the surf. You can also try Nueces bay on the Portland side, early is better.

Don't mind PF he gets grumpy in his old age Very Happy

I have been very fortunate to have friends who have had some patience to show me knew techniques and spots based on the weather and tides.

If you really want help, we know a lot of good guides in the area who will put you on fish. Stop by Bluff's landing this weekend, CCA CC Chapter is hosting the Guide's Cup on Friday and the Women's Tourney on Saturday.

It's gonna be a rough weekend no matter where you go. The wind has been blowing up 40 for the last two days. The front will pass through the coast tomorrow and things will lighten up for rest of the weekend. But the water is still going to be dirty as heck. Not trying to ruin anyone's plans but that's the weather. If you do choose to come down. Try spots close to the bank in deep water that have shelter from the wind.
