I had to dispatch a 3'er in my garrage Monday night when I went out to feed the dogs. My wife ran over two last night on the road to the house. Make sure kids and anyone working around the house are looking and being careful...

Killed another rattler off my back patio next to the side walk the other evening just after dark.. My wife stirred it up when she went out to sit on the patio... I guess it was looking for some shade and water... Almost got one of my big dogs that came down the side walk after he heard my wife yelling at me through the screen door to get my gun... It was about 3' long.. Just reminding everyone to be super careful when out around your yard.. They can curl up in or around anything looking for shade and water...

I have three cats outside.. I guess I'm feeding them too much because they aren't keepeing the snakes out.. I had an Indigo show up last year but haven't seen it again. I have been thinking about getting a little teirrer(sp) type dog that would bark and raise hell at snakes but not be agressive enough to grab one...

He raises billy hell with the rattlers and bulls, but has got to just a bark at the indigos. _________________ Off Shore Port Mansfield |

Three friends have been finding Rattlesnakes around there homes the last two weeks. I'm not sure if the few showers we have been getting has brought them out. Bird hunters need to watch every step...

We live in town(kingsville) now and I shot two of em last yr in the backyard The dog wanted them first
Wanna tick the wife off? Fry em up inside the house! Haha Wanna have the cops called out? (for the gun shots) Move to new York City (or any big city etc ?) We always had blue indigo snakes when living in the country and still haven't seen any rattlers out there as of yet Have two blues as big around as a beer can w a foam coozie They snooze in the ornamental pond in the summer Live under the storage shed Think its illegal to trap transport cage em |

We have a Blue Indigo here at the shop that is between 6' and 7'.. Last week I watched him chase down and eat a Coach Whip that was as long as it was.. I was able to get some pics. but due to the slow dial up, I'm not able to post them at this time.. It took the Indigo about 15 min. to eat the Coach Whip.. That was the first time that I was actually able to watch the whole thing from chase to finish..

| Buddy of another buddy got a 5 1/2 ftr 7/13 weekend. I cant upload pics at work and only can access the web from my phone when not at work so i can post them up but will email them to someone if you dont mind posting them. It had 11 rattlers with 1 broken off which means it would have had 12. We have been on our land for 30 years and never seen one. Same for our neighbor which is who got the rattler. He had just finished telling his friend there arent any rattlers out there and the previous owner who had the land for 25+ years had never seen any either. The guy (buddies friend) walks over to the bunk house cabin and low and behold its chillin on the door steps. The entire ranch we are on was recently sold and we talked to the surveyor thats surveying the land and he said out of all the 15 years he has been doing that in Texas he had seen the most on the ranch we are on! Again we have been there 30 years and havent seen 1. As much as i think they are a cool looking creature i wouldnt have any problems going my entire life without seeing one in the woods |
