| Got a buddy thats going to be near the Seadrift/Port O'Connor area and he wants to catch some fish. He will have access to a boat but has never fished the area. Anybody had any luck or know of some areas that should be producing? |

| I will be in the Port O area this weekend with some friends. I've never fished the area at all. Any help would be greatly appreciated. We will be primarily drift fishing. |

I fished out of seadrift this time of year, two years ago with Gary Gray. He's the man, and put us on some great schools in the backlakes. Shoot me your email and I can get you a google earth link of the areas we hit, if interested. I have no idea if they are productive right now though.
You may want to check is fishing reports in saltwater angler as well. _________________ Jeff

We launched at Charlies Bait Camp and headed out towards the bay. Seemed like a good area for boats lots of reefs from what I was told. We were on kayaks.
Going Sept 2nd and heading out the fishing center. _________________ Do not argue with an idiot. He will drag you down to his level and beat you with experience. |

I fish out of Sea Drift at least once per year with Kris Kelly. Sea Drift has upgraded their launch/fish cleaning area which makes it nice.
What Fishwish said, there arew tons of oyster reefs so be careful some are submerged on high tide and some are not. You could ruin a lower unit quickly.
We would normally be throwing freelined croaks around the reefs. |

| I would fish the POC end of ESB. You can set up drifts along the Matagorda Island shorelines early and they should be productive. The easiest way to get started is to head to the Army Base. When you get there you can go either direction north or south and work those shoreline flats. |
