Awsome picture. I bet that is the same one I saw near the rig. I was out there labor day weekend about 3.5 miles out at the rigs 6 miles down on pins. I had caught that ling and then 5 minutes later here come up a shadow and scared the crap out of me and then I realized it was a waleshark. Next to my kayak I felt like a minnow and remembered how small we humans actually are when we are out in the water.
Awsome pics, oh what were all those fish swimming with it. They came right up to my yak and I actually touched one but by that time the wale shark rose and i was scared stiff untill i saw it was a waleshark.
That was the coolest thing I have ever seen.
