Minimum wage - 70 cents
Bacon/lb - 50 cents
Gasoline per gal. - 17 cents
Avg. cost of a house - $1911
New house - $7450
The film "12 O'Clock High" came out.
Frank Sinatra Starred with Gene kelly in "On the Town".
Noteworthy events - NATO founded, RCA perfects way to broadcast in color, 1st VW Beetle in U.S.
Celebrity births - Jeff Bridges, Lionel Richie, Bruce Springsteen and
CAPT. MIKE SINGLETERRY.

Thanks guys!........and thanks much for those (young)dates your throwing out there. ...but I'm afraid the correct date is somewhere between the
1854 date and 1949 date. All I have to do is think about it and my back hurts.
Wife is going to take me to dinner...mexican food . Got some brownies and icecream if anyone wants to come by.....but not going to be up late got to work again in the morning.
