I told him to contact the hotel as they must have video and they obviously were working on the jeep for quite some time. The hotel said they do not have any camera surveillance. Wonder why the crooks picked that place to rob a guest vehicle? Regards Nickaway |

| Sorry to hear about that. I was taken advantage of several years ago at my cabin up at Lake Corpus Christi. It turned out to be my neighbors kid. Luck on his behalf because, I didn't press charges. He sold some of my tackle boxes and about 4 to 5 rods and reels including a gas edger and gas blower. It was a felony based on how much the Allstar, Loomis, ABU combos were worth. I had the Sherrifs department come out and eventually the kid came to me and fessed up. I made a deal with him. He could pay me back if he could but, next time I would make sure he spends time in jail. He never did but, I only did it because his parents were really good friends of mine. Since then, I have had several theives take me for my fuel cans I sometime leave in the back of my truck. I don't leave them back there much anymore. When gas was at its highest, guys were siphoning gas and even sometimes cutting the fuel line above the tank to access the gas. I'm so glad they took my fuel containers instead of damaging the truck. I didn't loose much because I picked up many gas containers at garage sales for a couple of bucks. I always put 5 gallons of water and one gallon of gas in the 6 gallon containers. Even a few old boat tanks and they were gone. Walmart, Mustang Island, Packery and even work. I even had one stolen at Chuckee Cheese. Now that's just wrong. I'm sure they regretted putting that in their tank. Wow, 5 gallons of water. Revenge, payback, Karma? Not sure but, I sure get a laugh when I see someone filling up their gas cans at the gas station. |

I was down on vacation last week of June staying at La Mirrage, hadn't been checked in 30 minutes and sent my son down to the truck to get something . He came back and said Dad someone took the straps off the Kayak. I had 3 Kayak's in the back of the truck on a rack I had built. They threw the ratchet straps off and stopped when they got to the lock.
It just happened to be on a Kayak I had borrowed from my Brother-in-law, he's never even used the Kayak. This all happend at around 4:30 in the afternoon. Neadless to say I stayed nervous the whole trip not knowing if they were going to still be on the truck when I came down or not. Some sorry SOB's out there. |
