Well... Friday I was off and I decided to wade out the Portland shoreline, do a little hardware fishing.
After an hour of chunking lures... popping a DOA and nothing I walked back in.
And the back windows of my Blazer were broken out.
Congrats to the @#$)@#($*))) who screwed up my day off.
@#$@#)*())) and a thousands shards of broken glass in your face for a long drive home.
On the flip side-I think I saw a water spout in the back bay-which if that was what I saw... COOL... but BE CAREFUL...
Anyway... karma's coming to the fool who pulled this... I truly believe that.

Are you sure it was done intentionally by someone? This heat and changes in air pressure can do some strange things as well. My wife's rear windshield shattered a few weeks ago while she was driving down the road. There were no other cars or people around when it happened so as expected she was really shocked. When she took it into the dealership they replaced it for free (under warranty) and said it happens quite a bit due to changes in pressure, temp, etc. Just a thought Question

No, I'm sure, unfortunately.
Whatever they hit the truck with, they didn't get the job done the first time-looks like it bounced because they hit the top of the door and put two dents in the frame.
They also took something-which I got a good laugh out of...and I hope for their hard work-they use it...

Just curious, where were you parked? I have heard you cannot even park near the causeway on the Portland side without getting your windows broke. Things sure have changed in recent years.

Thanks for the heads up on that. I almost went fishing there Saturday.

Its sounds like the same people that broke into my Explorer they broke two of my back windows and left dents where they hit it, it was 800.00 to get them replaced i got a good look at the truck it was an older model Chevy green with chrome on the bottom.

Karma is a funny thing...
Yeah, it's gonna be abou $800 to replace the windows-didn't get a look at the car, or the person... but karma is a funny thing.
The one thing these IDIOTS took... and this is what is soo freakin' funny was my wife's makeup bag she left in the truck the night before-looked like a little purse- I hope for all the hard work, you're pretty this morning... freaks...
I hear Banjo music... I feel a canoe trip coming on...

Had my truck window broken out in a smash & grab under the Portland end of the causway. Broke a Shimano rod that I really liked. Had to replace a window for the 3rd time. Not at all happy here.

Fishing buddy had a carton of cigarettes stolen from his truck by the same guys. His truck wasn't locked so he didn't have window repairs to do. Now, I leave my windows down - and nothing in the truck. A little rain is nothing compared to having to replace a window. [If it ever rains again]

The good thing is my fishing buddy saw them do it as he walked back to the trucks. It was 4 black guys that we talked to and even loaned (gave) tackle to. Good thing is I will know them when I see them again. Action will be taken at that moment.

Defend your property with deadly force. It is the only way to "weed the garden". Cops and courts are not working.

I was thinking the same thing! I bet my wife has $250 worht of junk in that thing of hers!

Sprry to hear they broke out your windows, what a bummer. I think almost everyone on the board has had that problem at one point or another. I believe Stan had a really good idea for a sting operation a while back! Twisted Evil

After many years of driving a jeep Wrangler with a soft top, I found keeping your window down, doors unlocked the best policy against torn up/broken windows

I think this thread has convinced me to do the same thing.
