Big area. Launching from Hampton's Landing at the end of Ransom Rd. in AP will get you out to the Ransom Island/Flats area. Launching at the AP Aquatic Center also gets you across the ICW into the flats and down towards Ingleside. Estes Flats is part of that system and a lot of fold launch at Palm Harbor RV Park which is ok if you do not mind dropping your gear off the wall(depends on tides as to how far an incline). Costs 5 Pesos(US) I think. State HW 361 between AP and the ferry gives access to Redfish Bay via Steadman's Reef, Hog Island, Terminal Flats, etc.
Terminal Flats(called Conn Brown Flats by some) is an easy launch as you come out of AP towards the ferry. Pull off next to the "Welcome to AP" sign as you cross over the first bridge out of AP and you can launch on the old dirt track there. Cross the shrimp boat channel and you can fish the shoreline along the spoil island across from Conn Brown or try in between the little islands that parallel the channel. There is also South Bay within an easy launch from Crabman, PJ's or next to LHL Park.
Have fun and good luck! _________________ Mike |

Take some weedless rigs. They are thick in the grass. Have fun. _________________ Do not argue with an idiot. He will drag you down to his level and beat you with experience. |
