| I'm done with PINS. My next camping and fishing trip to the Gulf will be Matagorda. I would ask any folks that have been there things like; Is it safe? Can you camp on the beach? Can you have a camp fire? Can you bring your pistol? Where is juanpescado? And any information I might need that would be different from camping and fishing down PINS? Thanks. L |

| Larry. Iv been fishing north of the sticks lately and its been pretty decent most of the time.. On a week day there is hardly anybody out there and you have the beach to yourself. I wont go to pins either until the shenanigans are over.. |

I went fishing last weekend at Matagorda and maybe saw 5 cars pass us. We went about 12 miles down the beach. That was the second trip for me down there and still haven't seen a lot of people. Yes you can camp on the beach, you will have to buy a parking pass $6 good for a year, we started a campfire, seems to be very safe, we took a pistol. We didn't see any kind of park ranger or anything like that. The water is a little bit shallower than PINS and for the most part a lot calmer. It was muddy this past weekend but the fish are there. _________________ "If I'm going down, I'm going down in flames" |

| Thanks guys. I'm headed down soon. I've caught plenty of fish in less than 2' of water when the conditions were right. L |
