After sitting inside all weekend I had to get out so I took son, Bryan out for a few hours from 3:30 to 7pm to see if we could find any trout on PINS. We fished in three different spots for about 20 minutes at each spot from the 2 to the 16. I never got a bump and Bryan got one Skipjack. We only tossed spoons, topwaters and plastic. There was a world of finger mullet, horse mullet etc but nothing attacking them. It was gorgeous regardless. I did see one Pompano caught around the 10 and one stingray near the 2. I spoke to Clint and Bonnie around the 12 and they had one run on a cut bait and a few tiny Whiting.
It was just nice to get back on the beach( That's what we say when we get skunked though in this case I actually mean it Smile )

Tyler, we pretty much had the same in the surf off of NPJ this weekend. Lots of sargassum made bait fishing rough and the super spook was not producing a thing. I did hear of Redfish and Spanish coming off the south rocks in the mornings. And, I did see lot's of Mangrove coming off the north rocks all weekend long. There were still lots of mullet in the water but the sargassum was really thick Monday. Last Wednesday I did catch my largest Trout from the NPJ surf yet in the two years we've been fishing the spot, 21" caught on the red headed super spook in the wade gut mabey 50 yards from the jetty. It is really a shame that the surf Pier was plucked out of the surf on the southside cause it would be on fire right now with the Reds & Macks.
later,
Ernie
