I bought a 1400-1600 watt gen. and I want to install the smallest A/C unit in a boxed trailer that I'm thinking on using for camping. Anyways, will that be enough power. Thanks, D.

use this calculations
P=V x A
power(watts)= volts x amps
1400W/120V = 11.667 amps
1600W/120v = 13.667 amps

so you can use 3-4 of thoose 400watt monster lights to create your fish landing strip

7000btu wall unit pull 6.6 amps at 115volts..
you are good for small unit and lights..

A small window unit probably uses just under 5 Amps. Round up to 5.

5 (amps) x 120 (volts) = 600 watts

Looks like you're safe there, D.

I guess your saying the genset makes 1600w surge and 1400w running.

1600/120 = 13.3 amps
1400/120 = 11.6 amps

So as long as the your a/c isnt pulling more than 13 amps at start up you should be fine.

Don't you like the humidity of south Texas? J/K It should be ok. The only time it will pop the breaker if it does, is when the compressor first turns on.. Good luck!! Enjoy. Post some pictures too!!! Very Happy
