Just got back from the Island. Here are some pictures of the area. Just a beautiful place to fish.

Now remember the wind was really clocking some speed, so the water was not emeral green yet Very Happy

Here are some shots down by the hotels.

Here is the view by the fishing beach.

Thank God for my fast internet connection or I would be here till next year waiting for those pics. I grew up in the Valley and spent lots of time on the island. I went back not too long ago and was amazed by all of the house springing up on the North side. Who has the money to build those big things? Awesome pics of an awesome place.

Thanks Deaver. I still can't believe I have lived here 43 years and never been south of the Mansfield channel. Great pics bro.

Um, maybe I didn't get all the pics, but I didn't see ONE fishing pole in any of the shots. not even a bikini!

thanks for the shots of the dunes and water though.

I did not post anymore of the action since I did not want anyone to have sensory overlead. This red honda s2000 convertible in the pictures is mine. Lots of women giving the thumbs up and asking for a ride when they see the convertible. Lots of women there, lots of women, and almost all of them say hello when you walk by.

What a life.

Deaver

Thanks for the great pics! I sure miss that beautiful water at South Padre Island. The dunes on the west side (bay) of the road sure have piled up since my last visit. You used to be able to see the bay on your left and the surf on your right as you drove toward the north going to Port Mansfield cut. And yes, the topless sunbathers can be a slight distraction while casting,,, . lol Fond memories. Thanks!
