I decided to make a trip down to PINS this morning and was surprised at my luck considering the gale force winds we had today. I managed to catch a limit of reds in about two hours. All fish we caught in the first gut during high tide with cut mullet.
Below is the content of two of the fishes stomachs. The other one was full of crab, mullet and eel or some kind of sea snake. Check out the artificial matter I found in one of them.
It turned out to be a great day on the island. _________________ Longhorn |

Looks like they like those spotted crabs... guess I'll try using them sometime. I wish they got bigger... make for some good eats.

I don't believe that it was a Berkley Gulp. I think it was just a soft plastic minnow. I'm not sure what the ring was but it was soft plastic as well. It's interesting that they will eat just about anything if it's presented right and they are feeding. _________________ Longhorn |
