I am currently looking at purchasing a boat. I am looking at the skeeter 20', the nautic star 2110, the pathfinder 2000v and maybe the ranger 20'. I am looking for owners opionions of these boats, what you like, what you dont like. What is your set up, engine jack plate prop and what kind of speed and rpm you run. Thanks in advance for your input..

When I was landlocked at different times I owned two different skeeters. So I can't really speak to the salt series but I would buy another in a heart beat.... if I could afford it.

I've been running Pathfinders for 10 years and would recommend them to anyone. I just got a new 2009 model for this summer and it is a really sweet boat. The guys at Ronnies will work with you on setting one up with jack plate, prop, electronics, etc. They know their stuff.
I owned a Ranger flats skiff, and have run their bay boats. They are a great ride, but a little heavy for this area, and pricier than the Pathfinders. _________________ Capt. Tim Duncan

I run a 08 skeeter ZX 22 Bay T and love it. Great family boat, great bay boat, great near shore and off hsore when the weather is good. I do not know about the 20' though but I love my 22. I have had perfect response from the dealer and the factory on a couple small issues and the 08 Vmax Series 2 runs great.

Out of those choices, I would go with the Pathfinder. I fish on a freind's Pathfinder and it perfroms great. Also a very well built boat. Only drawback with any of those choices would be shallow water access. They will run pretty skinny, but you better not shut down in the skinny stuff!

Just another option. I've got a Majek 20V and really couldn't be happier. It is a terrific compromise boat for the ULM/Baffin/Landcut. I would recommend one addition - Lenco tabs. With those, I can get a pretty smooth ride under a wide variety of circumstances and get up in fairly skinny water. You would be amazed at how shallow this boat can run and how fishable it is. Just my $.02.

So how much do these boats cost?

Majek
How do they compare to Blue Wave? _________________ Happy Hook'n
