You should use a smaller one for smaller baits. I use about 5 different ones. A coat hanger will work fine on smaller baits.

I know catch them, but I want to know where I can BUY some! I don't want to go through the hassle of waiting all year to catch one Jack.

First buy a metal rod from Home Depot that fits your style, I bought 3/8” rod 4’ long. Next, cut it in half so that you could make two…. Laughing

Here is our goal

Take the rod and place it in a vise about 5” inches deep and keep it close to the end of the vise. Heat the rod right above the vise. When it becomes hot, the weight of the rod will make it to start to fall over to one side. The hotter it gets the faster it will fall. Manage the heat so that the fall is gradually. One should make this fall parallel to the rod that is in the vise. At this point, one would have point “ B ” completed.

Now remove item from the vise and re-arrange the position of the rod. Place the 5” section in the vise perpendicular to the vise and the end of the vise. Make sure the fall is in the direction of the “U”. Heat the newly fallen rod about (2.5") roughly splitting in half the 5" section. This would complete point “ A”.
(See above photo)

At the opposite end, grind down to finish point. About 2” from the finish point, cut at a diagonal in the rod. This will require a special tool, I use a metal chop saw. The key here is to cut this diagonal wide enough and deep enough to place you leader in it. The heavier the coated cable the wider the width of you cut and vise versa. This will complete "C" and "D"
