I was on a Cruise ship between here and the Yucatan Penisula. First Time I have ever been in 14'+ seas. Pretty impressive.

Some of us could only fish today. It sucked. I did see a kite-boarder set a new world record at 158mph.

Try being on a carrier in the pacific edging a typhoon with waves 3 telephone poles tall very impressive. Even wierder watching them at night. Very Happy 14ft waves probably get a cruise ship tossing abit huh?

Well son when I was in the OLD GUARD. We went from Brownsville to Jamaca in Jan. Sea's were bad enough we secured the main deck and no one was allowed outside. Bow would dig in and waves would come over the flying bridge. 52 degrees would capsize us and we were takinig 48 degrees all night . I know I was on watch. Shocked Ship was only 210'. And that ain't no s---t chief. Laughing

Cruise ships are designed not to roll or pitch like other ships. They have wings that come out under water to stabilize them.

Yeah, It was cadilac onboard the cruise ship. Funny watching everyone stumble around though. I did to, but only when I was drunk. For GOM waves, and what me and my panga see, it was pretty neat.

BK005 you just didn't have your sea legs. Enough drinks and you couldn't tell the difference anyway. Laughing

I was able to go this morning, left about 8, came in at 11 for fuel and by the time I went back out the wind was kickin and the temperature had come way down. Fished a little at the edge of the ICW and headed in. Got a few rat reds this morning and lots of bites.
