Caught a million dink trout yesterday with my dad. Late in the afternoon I noticed what I thought was another trout following a dink I had caught. When it got to the boat, I noticed it was a BONE FISH and I almost had a heartattack! I kept the dink on at the boat and swirled it around in circles with my rod and the bonefish just kept following it in circles.

I think I saw one on here a couple years ago of a bonefish caught on bob hall pier, but I thought I would never see a bone fish in the laguna.

talk about be far from home!

I caught one 4yrs ago in the bay to the right of the causeway pier.

I took the picture of the one caught at BHP a few years ago. It was this time of year. That one was small. How big was this fish?

it was probably around 18". compared it to the 14 3/4 " dink I caught.

I posted this on the same BHP thread a few years ago...but a friend of my dad's caught one in rockport in the mid 90's, Estes Flats.
