Angler is on far left - Matt Madson - one of my drilling engineers. Trip hosted by Reed Drill Bits. Tarpon estimated at ~180# by guide - what do y'all think?

Tarpon caught this past Sunday August 24, 2008. Caught on casted bait thrown at rolling tarpon offshore San Louis Pass ~4 miles off W. Galveston Island. Jighead with circle hook with zip tied soft plastic - kind of a homemade coon pop in green. Tarpon was released successfully after a near 3 hour fight.

The big tarpon are rolling on bait off the passes guys!

Yep - guide was Jamie Pinter. Length was 78" and 48" girth. Y'all almost 1/3 of this tarpon is not seen in the 1st pic. This is not a 80# tarpon! Tarpon was released successfully. Here is a more full sized pic.

This is a pic of a tarpon on the wall of a bar in a jungle in Costa Rica. Its at the Rio Colorado and as I recall it weighed 205lbs. Your fish looks bigger to me.
