Hi, I have a 2003 yamaha 2 stroke and last weekend the engine alarm was going off every 10-20 min. I would stop and put the engine in rev. for about 1 min or so and the alarm would go off. I talked to a guy and he said this was due to all of the weeds in the water. He also said I should remoce the thermostat and make sure there was no weed present.
Can someone look at the picture and tell me where and how easy it will be to remove the thermostats to check for this. Also is there any gasket I need to change ??

Should be under this little housing. A new gasket is a good idea when ever you remove a housing.
