Went to the pier today. Interesting. Trout and reds were biting pretty well on small heavy spoons (manolures) jigged off the bottom from half way out to the end. Most trout were 16 to 19 inches. Most reds were just over the slot. Lots of lookdowns (I think) were also caught. A few sharks were caught, all small when I was there.

The water was still sandy in spite of the calmer winds. I did not see a Spanish caught.

I'll second that report and alot of real good sized pomps were caught on live shrimp and Mannolures. In the afternoon someone on the "T" caught a 54" King and a 6' tarpon.
