I really thought there would be a number of good bay reports coming in this past weekend.....wrong. Fishing was tuff, i took home 1 redfish and 1 drum yesterday. Which wasn't to bad as i was giving lure lessons to my daughter and her friend they tried really hard and did really good for people who live in Austin and don't get on the water very often. I just wish there had been more fish in the area besides drum. They got to see me get a number of blowups on tops but only 1 redfish was a taker. Nerver the less they saw that topwaters were effective. There were a lot of small plate size drum working the flats. We also trolled up to a bunch of working birds they were feeding on a large school of grass shrimp about an inch to a inch and a half long, they were jumping everywhere, but no fish, wierd. Hopefully we will put the slam on them next weekend MEMORIAL weekend. One of those weekends where there will be plenty of crazy and rude boaters on the water i'll be safely tucked up in my little corner, I hope.

I am gonna wade where boat's can't get.

Let's all use caution this weekend. If the weather holds up like it has been, it's gonna be insane. Better fill up the tanks now.

To me them smaller drum taste better than reds....keep em Stan!
