Always reading reports time to post one.
Drove down from SA on Monday night with my brother. Arrived at Coast Guard Pier (Not the technical name) in Port A at 10pm. Fished for about 4 hours, caught 20 or so Gaftop. No one else was catching anything. Awoke at 7am picked up a quart of live shrimp and off to Wilson's we went. Fished the cut and flats. One keeper trout, a few dinks and a few rat reds. Dove the beach from fish pass to port a jetties. Water was a gorgeous green, with limited weed on the beach and none in the water. But to rough to mess with. Arrived at LHL at about 2:30 pm. Found a cut and went to work with the 20 or so live shrimp we still had. 1st cast 18 inch trout. 2 casts later 15" in red. Proceded to catch 15 fish on 20 shrimp. Five double hook ups. A 26" and 27" red, lots of 15-16" reds. Ran out of shrimp and the bite died. The 26" red was caught on gulp 2 casts after the last shrimp. Threw gulp and spoons for another half hour nothin. Grabbed some food, back to pier we went, 2 hours and zero bites later decided to head home.
That 45 minutes was the best 45 minutes of fishing of life.
NO picks, I'm technical enough for that yet. _________________ www.paintballknights.com |

Dang that is some good fishing. Then again, I'm easy to impress at this point...to date my personal best of keepers in one day is...drum roll please... 2!
Thanks for sharing, I (and maybe other newbies) need fish stories to prove that there IS actually fish out there...haha |

Used the kayak. But did not go far, fished one of the cuts that drops right into to the channel. _________________ www.paintballknights.com |
