| Didn't anyone notice how awesome the fishing was this weekend. Come on guys, I was out there, and everywhere I went, people were slaying the fish........clear water, calm conditions after the fronts. I never saw so many full boxes at both ramps I went to, and the guides were just plain obscene with the slaughter. I took off work yesterday just to fish, and I could see the water murking up again, it wasn't quite as good, but what a weekend! |

I knew it would happen as I could not get my foot in saltwater over the weekend due to some minor foot surgery. Instantly the wind died and waters offshore and in the surf filled with fish.
I did get to go out to Emmord's Hole for a bit on Sunday and got a small trout on a pin perch so the weekend was not completely lost. |

| Sorry 'bout that Big John............the wind always blows a gale when I'm off and lays pretty when I'm working, so I had to take some vacation. Maybe the weather will stay good for you, I know some guys going down to PINS this weekend, really looking forward for a good trip. |

Talk about a Shlubb,,, Ryk calls me up Sunday afternoon to inform me he won't be carpooling with me in the morning, as he needs to fish a little more to take advantage of the weather,,,,
I wish he would have got a hard head fin, or something
JK Bro,, congrats on the stringer,, _________________ It's a conspiracy, I tell ya,, There's no such thing as being too drunk to fish !!

| The weather was awesome, havent seen days like that in awhile. The seaweed could of been a little better but definetly it was manageable. |

You got that right!! I decided to take advantage of the low winds and flat water and do some kayak fishing in Nueces Bay. I fished from 10:00am - 1:00pm and caught three limits of redfish between 21" to 26", for a grand total of 9 redfish. I strung the first three reds and turned loose the next six caught. The bite was on FIRE, I am confident that if I stayed out for another hour I could have easily managed another limit. I was throwing 3" rootbeer and white Gulp's on a 3/0 Flutter hook. Great day on the water.

Here are some pics from Mansfield. We had multiple Ice chests full of 27"-28" Reds and tagged a couple of oversized. The weather was unbelievable.
