Hey guys,

I know this is a long shot but I thought I'd give it a try. Smitty and I saw a gentleman loading his kayak and leaving right around the time we were launching into the Guadalupe at Cypress Cove/Rebecca Creek. I didn't get a chance to talk to him before he left.

As I hopped into the yak, I noticed he left his crate. Due to all of the people around, I figured his best chance at getting it back would be for me to set it in the truck and post it up. I did leave my phone number with 2 people at the ramp who were bank fishing, just in case he came back for it but I'm pretty sure he wouldn't/didn't.

It has some very distinguishable items in it that I will gladly return if they can be identified. I wouldn't say it is expensive but it would still bum me out if I lost it.

So, help me out here - if you know anyone who was at Rebecca Creek/Cypress Cove boat ramp at the Guadalupe on Sunday, ask them if they are missing a crate. The guy told someone else there that he had a 1.5hr drive home. Austin?

Feel free to email me if needed to identify or ask about it.

Thanks,
Shawn

PS: Anyone know any other boards to put this on?
I have it on the following:

Apparently my tactics worked just fine. I just received an email from the rightful owner and hope to be returning the item soon.

Thanks for the help guys, and Tyler for allowing me to post this.

Tight Lines,
SQ

PS: San Martian, They were slow on Saturday evening likely due to all of the boat traffic all day long on Saturday. We ended up with 6 up to ~14-16", and one fat crappie in the 14" range. We have done better in the previous two weeks...but boat traffic wasn't nearly as heavy. Best bet is weekdays...

We only fished from about 4:15 to dark.

They are slowly but surely moving up-river, should be good this weekend if you can beat the crowds.

You are an outstanding indivdual. It is not often not somebody takes it upon themselves to watch out for others. I know I have had stuff stolen/taken in the past and no help for it. You are to be congradulated. Thank you, thank you, thank you....

Great job in returning it. It amazes me the great nature of board members and seeing them post up items found or lost and the success rate in getting them returned. May the good karma bless you with tight lines the rest of the year!!!

Not to many in this old world extend the effort you displayed.

Oh, some will return if the person is close around or present, but to leave number, get info. on boards, etc. - my hat is off to you.

Thank you
