My wife, my son and I headed out to the jetties at about 7am. We ran into a friend on the beach on his way home. He stopped and showed me his stringer, he had caught his limit of trout and it was definately a stringer to be proud of. He also caught a Jack Crevalle (which is going to be used at a later date on PINS). Headed to the jetties and got there and headed straight out on the rocks. Threw a few quick casts, with a pumpkin seed w/ a chartreuse tail sand eel. On about the fifth cast, I finally snagged a keeper trout. Threw him on the stringer and then I went back at it. (This is where this story gets VERY interesting)......I threw another cast, and hooked onto another keeper trout, then as I was going to put it on the stringer I ended up on my A$$ between two rocks. I was more pissed off about my fish getting away then falling. I got back up and surveyed the damage, and decided to throw a few more casts. I ended up with a big bruise on my right thigh and a swollen and cut up ankle. But I will be back at it on Tuesday (weather permitting). Ended up w/ 3 keeper trout and a nice 20" red fish. Will try to post some pix of my buddy's fish if he has some.

Go to Mustang Island State Park go straight thru the gate to the beach turn left and go to the south jettie. Or go past the state park driving north and turn right at the next beach road and then Very Happy turn south and drive down the beach to the north jettie
