My main dogs are either leapords, ybmc, a cross of the two or with pit. I like YBMC x pit crosses for strike dogs. I also run a blue lacy for strike.

For my catch I use DOGOS. I got rid of all my pits and AB's a few years back.

Hey Shane,
I used to hunt with dogs years ago with my brothers and friends. It was alot of fun and alot of work. Have you ever used Walker hounds for lead dogs? We had a running Walker that MIA on us.. He never would stop.. We had several catch dogs that were crossed pit with lab and one that was pit and German pointer. Our best catch dog ever was half pit and half Rhodesion Ridgeback. I used to raise Ridgebacks untill I moved over here to Alice. No one knows what they are around here. I couldn't give my last two litter of pups away so I spayed my female. Keep the stories coming it brings back a bunch of memories.....

Mike

Most of my places to hunt will not support a hound as a strike dog.

We are running RR crosses as well.
