Gale warnings have been issues South of Baffin bay, and will likely be issued north of there this afternoon. I'd think twice...never mind...I WOULD NOT go out in a boat tomorrow. Here's the forecast:

COASTAL WATERS PORT ARANSAS TO MATAGORDA SHIP CHANNEL OUT 20 NM-

...STRONG COLD FRONT EXPECTED MONDAY MORNING...

...GALE FORCE WIND GUSTS EXPECTED BEHIND FRONT...

A STRONG COLD FRONT WILL MOVE THROUGH THE MIDDLE TEXAS COASTAL
WATERS MONDAY MORNING. THIS FRONT WILL BRING SCATTERED TO
NUMEROUS SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS...STRONG OFFSHORE FLOW AND THE
COOLEST WEATHER OF THE SEASON THUS FAR.

AN ABRUPT WIND SHIFT TO THE NORTH WILL ACCOMPANY THE COLD FRONT
WHICH IS CURRENTLY EXPECTED NEAR THE COAST AROUND SUNRISE MONDAY
MORNING...AND MOVE THROUGH THE COASTAL WATERS BEFORE NOON. THE
STRONG NORTHERLY WINDS WILL BEGIN TO RELAX OVER THE BAYS MONDAY
NIGHT BUT WILL CONTINUE WELL INTO TUESDAY OVER THE OPEN GULF
WATERS. SUSTAINED WIND SPEEDS OF 30 KNOTS WILL OCCUR BEHIND THE
FRONT WITH WIND GUSTS AROUND 45 KNOTS POSSIBLE. SUSTAINED WINDS
IMMEDIATELY BEHIND THE FRONT MAY APPROACH 35 KNOTS FOR A SHORT
TIME. THESE HIGH WINDS WILL LEAD TO VERY ROUGH BAY CONDITIONS AND
SEAS BUILDING TO 7 TO 11 FEET OFFSHORE. THE STRONG OFFSHORE FLOW
WILL GRADUALLY WEAKEN TUESDAY AFTERNOON AND OVERNIGHT.

MARINERS ARE URGED TO PLAN ACCORDINGLY FOR THIS FRONT. ENSURE
BOATS ARE MOORED PROPERLY AND STOW ANY LOOSE OBJECTS ON BOARD AND
AT THE DOCKS. SMALL CRAFT SHOULD REMAIN IN PORT MONDAY AND MONDAY

Just my luck. I am off on tuesday and the wind is supposed to blow pretty hard. My boat is not alot of fun in the chop, but I guess I'll have to make do.
