Woke up at at 0530, and figured that i might as well try to catch a fish. Yakked yesterday for a couple rat reds in B&R, and promised my wife we would go to the home show on Sunday (that will just create a longer honey do list w/ all the ideas)

So w/ a short outing in the works I made it to SPJ in the dark, walked out and started throwing tops for nothing, sun came up and you could see that water was fairly clean w/ some bait...caught one tiny jack. Looked over at the NPJ and you could see a bunch of pelicans diving, so loaded up and switched sides. No surf, pretty glassy and lots of bait...again no takers. Still love being on the water as the sun comes up. BTW, it was parade of boats of all sizes going off-shore through the jetties

I am now home and getting ready to go the home show Rolling Eyes

Hope others had a better "catching" day. Still a

I was out there on the south side last night for a few hours, all I managed to catch was a lot of grass. My 4 year old however did manage to pull in a couple of little croaker off the bottom with fishbites that made the fight with the grass worth it for me.

Took a boat ride to the Jetties late Saturday around 4 pm to look around. Didn't stop though. Saw five or six jet skies running up and down the channel. Also saw some scuba divers at the ramps when I went by. On the way back in they had moved over to the bridge. Saw a Game Warden checking boats coming in from offshore. I figured he would have checked me but just waved me through. Met the Nyati going out back near the S-curve. I'm glad they slowed down for me or they would have washed me clean out of the channel. No fish to report.
