Getting old and my memory is hit and miss.
Back in 1975-76 I was a high school kid working at a bait stand on SPID, located about where the side entrance to HEB is now. It was beside a Burger Chef and had a bunch of storage barns out back. We sold bait, block ice and the usual beach stuff like sandals and the like. Also had a couple of gas pumps.
The owner was a tough old lady named either Mr's White or Mr's Smith.
Does anyone remember the name of the bait stand? |

| It might have been Ed’s Sporting Goods. |

| It seems to me that Ed’s was a little further back towards town than the description I’m reading. There was one called Mac’s. |

That's it! Thank you. Glad to see your memory is better than mine. |
