After treating Mary to a massage and lunch I came back and hit the water for a little over an hour. Wound up with two trout and caught this drum on a tequila gold sand eel. No shrimp required.

Haven't used bait shrimp in years other than brining some for pomps. The only natural bait I use is cut mullet in the surf. Even that is being replaced with fishbites a lot of the time.
Cast net for live bait and lures is pretty much it,
I'll admit it's because of price. I'm a cheap bustard.  |
