One of my Winter Texan neighbors talks about "Hollywood Bowl". From his descriptions, it sounds like it's on the East side of Hog Island, and North of the three decrepit gas platforms. Anyone know about that, and where it is? He said one day, there were about ten boats there. I know there's a spot in South Bay that sometimes has a crowd.

I have fished just North of the platforms anchored on the bar a few times. Once something big hit my bait and spooled me in about five seconds. Another time a young man with me hooked something big and he fought a losing battle, reeling in, and losing line off and on for about thirty minutes before the fish ran under something and broke the line. There are some big fish in there. Sharks, maybe? I had a black tip chomp a Trout off my stringer there, too. After I saw that, that's why I don't wadefish! Y'all stay warm. TexasJim
