Went fishing at a couple lakes up in Questa, New Mexico. Both lakes are fed by the Red River. It was not your typical November day in New Mexico. Started with a jacket on because I thought it's November! Lol. Wound up stripping down to my short sleeve shirt to finish the day. Wound up catching 12 rainbows, none of them were very big though. This one is about the average size, with a few just a little bit bigger. As a matter of fact, the fishing was pretty tough all day. Started fishing in the sun and hardly got a bite, so I went across to the other side of the lake and fished the shadows and that's where I started picking up fish.As you can see from the pictures the water was very reflective and beautiful this day.

A few years ago, at Vallecito Lake in CO, the 1st 2 days we fished for trout it was nice and cool and the trout were biting well from the bank. Over the next couple of days, the temps climbed a little bit each day and the bite got slower and slower from the bank. Guessing the trout retreated to deeper waters as the temperature rose. All in all we quite quite a few probably about the same size as the one in your picture and a few bigger. It was a lot of fun. Nice pics ZiaCatcher!

A few days ago we went to Albuquerque and went to the zoo and the aquarium. Went into a cafe that's part of the aquarium and sat down and I thought I was back home in Corpus. There was a big aquarium in front of me and it was loaded with redfish, tarpon, drum, raise, sharks and several other fish from the Gulf Coast area.
