Surf was pretty confused and rough but the the wife wanted some beach time so we left the boat behind and drove a couple miles south of Bob Hall. LOTS of folks fishing for a weekday.
Tossing Fishbites and cut mullet, caught three good sized reds and a stingray in about three hours. For once, no whiting. All caught in the first gut, it was too rough to wade out so all casting was from the beach.
Was expecting to see the mullet migration but it wasn't there. No other bait activity.
That Fishbite mullet flavor is rapidly becoming my favorite, It's worked so far on black drum, trout and reds. |
