Went out about 1:00 and came home by 3:30 cuz I got tired of catching fish. What a problem to have right?
Start heading out where I was yesterday in the backyard but it stopped at the honey hole first. Second cast that caught an 18-in trout. Too cats later bringing a 24-in trout. Followed by a 24-in red three cash later. Made one more little drip through there and didn't get anything else so went over to the backyard. Of all the fish I caught today I only got three that were undersized. I got nine slot trout. One was 16 and all the others were healthy 18 to 20 in. I also caught four oversized trout between 22 and 24. Also got one red. Everything was on tequila Gold sand eel. Had to let my eel sink to the bottom and take it a couple times and let it settle back down again fight was very subtle so it had to be extremely aware of any little change in retrieve.

Your killing em Zia!
Couple questions.
Where are the boundaries of the "backyard"
I remember it from the IMS days but not familiar with the general rule for defining?
Noticing a lot of pics of trout with lower tail splits.
Are they fanning beds or what? _________________ Steve-O

I don't think the boundaries really define but I consider them above the humble channel between Pita and the boat launch area off of Laguna shores |
