Went and finished Santa Cruz lake in New Mexico today looking for rainbows. But all I got was four these guys.
You need to look real close to see the lake in this picture. The water was so reflective this morning that the water and the mountains behind it looked exactly the same.
After fishing the lake for a while decide to take this little dirt road that took us down below the dam.
Then I saw this. Still can't figure out how the fish happened to get up there.

| It's time to get your kayak and fish in a safe manner just below the water fall. So beautiful! Your photos makes me wonder what the pink rocks or soil is? |

| Wow! Very curious I am also. Maybe, just maybe, someone had broken off and bird picked up the line/fish and also dropped it. Over the years you have posted a bunch of bird pic. Just thinking |

Would be my guess. Broken off fish still on hook. Bird picked it up, took it to tree, decided trying to get around all the tangled fishing line was just too much and gave up. LOL |
