During my time at LSU, working alongside MMS (the predecessor) of Bureau of Ocean Energy Management, I was comfortable with the mission of MMS.
Yesterday, I attended a BOEM webinar that supposedly was about Offshore WindFarm Development off Texas on the continental shelf, but it quickly devolved into a Liberal Love-Fest, and I could, literally on one hand, count the number of times I heard the phrases 'Gulf of Mexico' or 'Wind Energy'.

But if I heard the terms 'Diversity, Inclusion, and Acceptance' 10 times, it was uttered 1,000 times!?!?! I finally had enough at the hour+ mark and turned it off.

If the job is to determine the tensile strength of the cables necessary to moor a floating windmill platform to the seabed to handle 30 foot seas, why is that answer only valid if it comes from a 'Left-Handed, Midget, Ginger that currently resides on an Indian Reservation'? Twisted Evil

I'm getting too old for this cr@p. Crying or Very sad

When I registered for the webinar, it was a dead giveaway when they had a spot to fill in your 'Preferred Pronouns".......

Of course, I obliged, and put 'Stunad/Stugatz' for my choices. Cool

A diversity hire is the same thing as a token.
Either one is a slur.
We should not tolerate that kind of language from anyone in a business or government setting.
