Took a trip over to Taos this morning to do some shopping and swung by the Rio Grande and fished for about an hour. I wound up catching and releasing four rainbow trout and three browns.

On the way there we had to stop and let this guy pass. Actually was a lot closer but by time we got the camera out he decided he was going to walk in front of the truck instead of standing there looking in a window at us.

Enjoy your time away from high humidity.
Enjoy cooler temperatures.
And enjoy cold water trout.

I think I'ma start following Zia when he leaves... Like ducks migrating..
He seems to know when to leave and when to come back pretty well Laughing
The humidity along with heat started right when he left!

Tomorrow I'm going to hit a different part of the river. Hopefully I'll catch some fish and show some pics.
A funny part about me catching those fish the other day was I read the fishing report before I went over there and they said the fishing was slow. Maybe a lot of people read the report and stayed away because I was the only one fishing, and catching, on that section of the river.

80 degrees and 3% humidity, I guess it feels like your fishing hole is air conditioned? Smile

Got my tackle set for tomorrow. Sitting on my front porch watching the sunset and watching the hummingbirds playing.

We've got a number of hummingbirds that keep us entertained. If you wear a cap with any kind of red lettering on it they'll come and buzz your head. Pretty funny.

Had a pretty successful River trip. Wound up catching and releasing 17 rainbows and two little bass. The biggest rainbow was about 17. Had a blast.

That looks awesome Tom!
And nice job on the Rainbows!
17" is a solid fish, especially on a fly rod!

Fortunately didn't have to drive through that area. At certain times the smoke is pretty bad but they've got it 62% contained and everything is looking a lot better
