Went out about 9:00 a.m. and the winds were almost non-existent. Just enough to move the boat a little. Water in some spots was real clear others it was extremely dirty. Mainly fished with my top water with a dropper but also did throw my tequila Gold sand eel. I actually caught a hard head on my sand eel today.
Made several drifts that were real short no more than about 50 yards or so and picked up a limit of trout that went from 18 to 22 in. Decided to go look for some redfish and made one more drift over by the King ranch shoreline and caught and release an 18 in the 19-in trout and a 19 in red. Came back in and cleaned fish.
After cleaning fish I was sitting down drinking a beer and my son called. He asked how the fishing was and I told him. I said if you want you can swing by and pick me up and I'll show you. So he did. We went out and he caught three keepers that were 18 to a little over 20. I caught and released four more trout.

| I've been using a purple paddle tail because the water's been stained I wanted something dark. I've had a number of double hookups. |
