The kids wanted to go out on the kayaks for a little while yesterday afternoon. Took advantage of the good weather and pre front conditions. My daughter (Cool said only if she can cast and reel, since she doesn't like just sitting and waiting. So she used the half once gold spoon. She sat in the front of the kayak with me and within a few casts hooked up in her first Red. 23 1/2". The look on her face when it started rippin drag and then again when it came to the net was priceless. Released to fight another day. Drifted along the south side of the causeway down to Red Dot. A couple sand trout as well. https://ibb.co/6HZRQBX

Great for her! Can only imagine the look on her face. I remember when one of my grandsons pulled in a 26-in trout, the look on his face will stay with me forever
