I like my simms. Have had them for three hard seasons and they have prolly one more in them.

I'm buying some off amazon for like 30 bucks....on their second season, and should go one more...10 bucks a season isn't too bad...

I can't help, but wonder what Mike McBride might wear today? I don't imagine he thinks much about how much his wade shoes or boots might cost, but how much protection he might get. Cool

Personally, I'd go big or go home on this. If you're actually looking for protection from the reefs (not rays), throw the bootie idea in the dumpster fire. I'd go with wool socks on that one. If you're looking for protection, the predators I've had for a decade still work great. They're heavy...but they protect all the way up the calf. My two cents. For reefs.

I tend to buy dive boots, they have a stiffer and thicker sole. I also go a half size bigger and put those hard plastic arch supports in them. Helps out a lot with your back complaining. Wink
