Made a run to about the 30 today with 3 friends. Driving was great and the water was rough but clear. We caught a 4 man limit of upper slot reds. Also had a bunch of whiting and 1 or 2 keeper drum. Only 4 or 5 pomps and they very small ones. Was a good day and a great time!

Also very few beans CS! I didn't look much but only saw a few of the heart beans and a couple big Walnut looking ones.

It's been a weird year for beans, deputydawg. I've found more gray nickernuts than ever before, but heart beans, sea purses, and the elusive 'Jesus Bean' have been tough to come by this year.

But, what I have stocked up on is firewood. I have a YUGE pile of firewood for whatever Old Man Winter wants to throw at me this year, thanks to all the folks who bought wood and just left it on the beach. Thank You. "Take Two, They're Free"!!!!! Cool

I've found some of the beans, but have not had a use for them other then their uniqueness. Have any of you found a good use for them? I seem to recall a post where someone stated their origine, but I don't even recall that! Old age is interesting sometimes. Rolling Eyes

One of my heart sea beans sprouted two years ago ...while it was sitting on a bookshelf in the front room, lol. I planted it and it looks a lot like a lilly of some sort, but I don't think it's happy with my garden soil. It's never grown very large or bloomed.
